Vaccinating your pet may be the most straightforward and effective way to protect them from many infectious and potentially life-threatening diseases. In virtually every case, it is far easier for pet owners to prevent a pet from becoming sick than it is to treat its illness after the fact. For this reason, vaccines are administered early in the life of a pet, with special regard to their unique needs.

Ironhorse Veterinary Care is proud to offer high-quality vaccines from reputable manufacturers. For our canine companions, we offer the following vaccines:

• Rabies (1-year)
• Rabies (3-year)
• Distemper/Adenovirus/Parvo/Parainfluenza (DAPP)
• Bordetella (oral)
• Leptospirosis

For our feline friends we use Merial’s Purevax line. This line has been specifically designed for cats. These vaccines reduce the likelihood of a local vaccine reaction, which has been linked to cancer (vaccine site sarcomas), because the vaccines are free from adjuvants. We offer the following feline vaccines:

• Rabies (adjuvant-free)
• Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis/Calicivirus/Panleukopenia (FVRCP)
• Feline Leukemia (adjuvant-free)

If you have a new pet, please make sure they are up-to-date with their vaccines. The best way to ensure this is to bring them in for regular visits.
